Injuries Reported in South Lake Tahoe Crash on Mandan Street and Apache Avenue
SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, CA (March 6, 2024) – Sunday, a crippling auto accident on Mandan Street and Apache Avenue injured 1 person.
The incident happened during a blizzard buffeting the Tahoe region near the intersection of Mandan Street and Apache Avenue.
According to reports, three men rode a 2022 Ford F-350. Then, the two occupants in the F-350 got out of the pickup and, with the help of other drivers behind them, started pushing the vehicle toward the crest of the slope.
However, the spinning truck tires started losing traction and the truck slid backward.
As a result, a 60-year-old Berkeley man fell and was crushed by the vehicle.
Responders took the victim to Barton Memorial Hospital by the Lake Valley Fire Protection District.
At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
Due to the limited information available, the authorities continued to investigate the crash.
