Injuries Reported in Sacramento Vehicle Crash on Highway 12 and Mokelumne River Bridge
SACRAMENTO COUNTY, CA (November 26, 2023) – Friday, a crippling auto accident on Highway 12 and Mokelumne River Bridge injured 5 people.
The incident happened west of the Mokelumne River Bridge on Highway 12. Officers said that the incident involved two cars and five total people were hurt in the crash.
After the incident, three people were transported to the hospital via ambulance. However, their conditions remained unknown at this time. Moreover, responders took another person to the hospital via helicopter in critical condition. Also, the last person sustained minor injuries.
Meanwhile, the incident shut down both sides of Highway 12 for multiple hours after 2 p.m.
At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
