GOLETA, CA (March 18, 2024) – Saturday night, a crippling auto accident on 5700 Calle Real injured 1 person.

The incident happened at 5:13 p.m. in the 5700 block of Calle Real.

Reports said that a driver of a gray Lexus sedan attempted to make a left away from the Albertsons parking lot on Calle Real near the 5700 block in Goleta.

Meanwhile, two vehicles were approaching the entrance to the parking lot in the right lane. However, the first vehicle slowed to enter by making a right turn into the lot at the Calle Real Shopping Center.

Then, a white Scion, driving just behind the first car, changed lanes. As a result, it T-Boned the grey sedan making a left across the number two eastbound lane.

Reports confirmed that the white Scion SUV traveling east crashed into the middle section of the driver’s side causing extensive damage. Meanwhile, the driver of the Lexus initially reported not feeling any serious injuries. However, the actual condition of any of the parties involved remained unknown.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
