Injuries Reported in Tempe Crash near Westfield Boulevard and W Adams Avenue

TEMPE, CA (May 12, 2024) – Saturday morning, a crippling auto accident near Westfield Boulevard and W Adams Avenue injured 2 people.

The incident happened at about 11:30 a.m. near the intersection of Westfield Boulevard and W Adams Avenue.

According to reports, one of the victims stated that she and her daughter approached a vehicle that had collided with their car. 

Reports said that the woman driving the other vehicle exited and assaulted both victims. A bystander intervened to help, prompting the suspect to return to her vehicle and strike the bystander before fleeing the scene. 

Two of the victims were transported to a hospital for treatment, and their conditions have stabilized. Police later located and apprehended the suspect, whose identity has not been disclosed.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
