Injuries Reported in Los Angeles Multi-Vehicle Accident on Turnbull Canyon Road and East Poplar Avenue

LOS ANGELES, CA (January 24, 2024) – Tuesday afternoon, a crippling 3-vehicle crash on Turnbull Canyon Road and East Poplar Avenue injured 2 deputies.

The crash involving a UPS truck injured 2 Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department deputies. It occurred just 4:00 p.m. near Turnbull Canyon Road and East Poplar Avenue.

As a result, all parties involved sustained minor injuries, and the deputies were transported to the hospital as a precaution.

Meanwhile, the other two drivers complained of pain but didn’t require hospitalization.

According to reports, deputies were en route to investigate a hazardous materials incident at a nearby post office in the city of Industry. Workers had been evacuated due to a suspicious package. Unexpectedly, the incident unfolded when another car abruptly pulled in front of their patrol vehicle. Notably, the LASD car involved did not have its emergency features, including lights and sirens, activated during the collision.
