Injuries Reported in Santa Barbara Auto Accident on Las Positas Road and Las Positas Place
SANTA BARBARA, CA (June 2, 2024) – Saturday morning, a crippling 2-vehicle crash on Las Positas Road and Las Positas Place injured 2 people.
The incident happened at about 8:40 a.m. on Las Positas Road and Las Positas Place, said fire Capt. Josh Brousseau.
A sedan pulling out of Las Positas Place collided with a southbound car on Las Positas Road, causing one vehicle to flip onto its roof.
As a result, the driver of the overturned car suffered minor to moderate injuries and was transported to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital by AMR ambulance. Then, the other driver sustained minor injuries and was taken to the hospital by family members.
The names and specific conditions of the patients were not available at the time. Las Positas Road was temporarily closed between Modoc Road and Veronica Springs Road following the incident. The Santa Barbara Police Department is investigating the collision.
At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
