Injuries Reported in Apple Valley Auto Accident on Kiowa Road and Rancherias Road

APPLE VALLEY, CA (March 4, 2024) – Sunday night, a crippling 2-vehicle crash on Kiowa Road and Rancherias Road injured 3 people.

The incident happened at around 7:12 p.m. on Kiowa Road and Rancherias Road. Moreover, officers confirmed that the incident involved a white KIA Optima and a gray Ford SUV.

Emergency workers with the Apple Valley Fire Protection District came to the scene and found the critically injured occupants, one of them needed extrication. Meanwhile, a third person suffered less significant injuries.

Then, two helicopters responded, along with three AMR ambulances. Two of the ambulances transported the critically injured occupants to a nearby landing zone. Then, the helicopters will further transport the occupants to trauma centers.

Meanwhile, a third person was transported to a local hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
