Injuries Reported in San Antonio Auto Accident on Interstate 35 and Loop 410
SAN ANTONIO, TX (March 28, 2024) – Wednesday night, a crippling 2-vehicle crash on Interstate 35 and Loop 410 injured 1 person.
The crash occurred at 10:30 p.m. on the southbound Interstate 34 ramp to Loop 410, south of Rittiman Road.
Based on an initial report, a 34-year-old man parked his Buick Enclave on the shoulder of the road after it broke down. Subsequently, his brother parked his GMC Sierra on the same shoulder to assist in removing the Buick from the highway.
Then, a Ford truck went onto the shoulder lane and struck the Buick and GMC.
Afterward, the Enclave redirected, hitting the 34-year-old driver. He was transported to the hospital with serious injuries.
Furthermore, the driver of the Ford, a 45-year-old man, determined that he was intoxicated. Officers arrested him and charged him with intoxication assault.
At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
Due to the limited information available, the authorities continued to investigate the crash.
