Injuries Reported in Buellton Auto Accident on Highway 246
BUELLTON, CA (August 7, 2024) – Monday morning, a crippling 2-vehicle crash on Highway 246 injured 2 people.
The incident involving two vehicles happened on Highway 246.
According to the Santa Barbara County Fire Department (SBC Fire), an elderly man driving a Tesla was struck on the driver’s side by a Suburban SUV carrying an adult woman and a young man. Firefighters had to extricate the elderly man from his vehicle, after which he was transported by ambulance to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital with major injuries.
The woman in the SUV sustained less severe injuries and was taken to Santa Ynez Valley Cottage Hospital, while the young man declined ambulance transport.
