Injuries Reported in Morena Auto Accident on 6000 Friars Road

MORENA, CA (June 2, 2024) – Friday afternoon, an 87-year-old man sustained injuries in a crippling 2-vehicle crash on 6000 Friars Road.

The incident happened at 5:14 p.m. at the 6000 Friars Road. According to reports, an 87-year-old man was driving a 2017 Infinity, trying to make a left turn onto Friars Road from Gaines Street. 

Then, he crashed into a 27-year-old man driving a 2008 Toyota 4Runner driving west on Friars.

Officer J. Perales confirmed that the older man sustained fractures to his back, facial injuries, and internal bleeding. 

Meanwhile, the younger man complained of pain in his lower back and nose, and a passenger in the Infinity complained of pain in the chest, shoulder, and hip.

Also, alcohol didn’t play a role in the crash.

Moreover, the department’s traffic division handles the crash investigation. Furthermore, they urged anyone with information to contact 858-495-7800 or San Diego County Crime Stoppers at 888- 580-8477.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
