Injuries Reported in Perris Auto Crash on N Perris Boulevard near Avocado Avenue

PERRIS, CA (December 9, 2023) – Thursday night, a crippling 2-vehicle accident on N Perris Boulevard near Avocado Avenue injured 1 person.

The incident happened shortly after 11:00 p.m. in the 2200 block of North Perris Boulevard, near Avocado Avenue, said the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.

According to reports, a 2002 Honda Accord crashed into a 2014 Nissan Quest whose driver pulled onto Perris street from a business parking lot, directly into the victim’s path.

“The Honda … collided with the rear end of the Nissan, sending the Nissan across the roadway to the opposite side of the street,” Bracey added.

County fire department paramedics responded within minutes and extricated the Honda driver. Afterward, responders took the driver to a regional trauma center, where he succumbed to injuries a short time later, the sergeant added.

Meanwhile, the Nissan driver, whose identity remained undisclosed, sustained minor injuries and was treated and released from the same hospital.

“It is unknown if alcohol or drugs were a factor in this collision,” Bracey said.

Furthermore, the authorities urged anyone with information to contact the sheriff’s Perris station at 951-210-1000.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.

Due to the limited information available, the authorities continued to investigate the crash.
