3 Hurt in Los Angeles Auto Accident on 450 block of 51st Street

LOS ANGELES, CA (August 17, 2023) – Wednesday night, a crippling 2-car crash on 450 block of 51st Street injured 3 people.

The incident happened at about 6:40 p.m. in the 450 block of 51st Street in Vermont Square.

After the crash, responders transported three patients in serious to critical condition to the hospital. Then, four others remained at the scene after refusing medical care.

Meanwhile, the authorities haven’t disclosed the cause of the crash. Preliminary reports revealed that the bus driver suffered no injuries and no passenger rode on the bus at the time of the crash.

Officers confirmed that the bus was not involved in the crash and was parked at a nearby bus stop.

Initially, LAFD responded due to an initial report of two people being ejected from a vehicle and being trapped underneath the bus.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
