CREST PARK, CA (December 16, 2018) – Two people were hospitalized following a rollover crash Sunday afternoon in Crest Park.
The crash happened around 1:09 p.m. in the area of School Drive and School Road.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a maroon Jeep Cherokee struck a fire hydrant and a school sign, and overturned on its wheels.
Two occupants in the car were injured and transported by ambulance to Loma Linda University Medical Center. One of the patients, identified as a 14-year-old Nathaniel Neese, sustained a cut on his hand.
The second patient suffered a cut on the head and complained of pain to the left side.
It is unknown if speed, drugs and/or alcohol have played a role in the crash. At this time, California Highway Patrol officials are in the process of investigating the incident and are looking for other motorist who potentially initiated the crash.
Many rollover accidents are result of a driver turning their steering wheel too fast in an attempt to avoid an accident or stay in their designated lane. Pay attention and do not drive distracted. Abide by the speed limit, and only drive when you are alert and sober.
