Burbank, CA (October 13, 2023) On Wednesday, 82-year-old Maryland Charette of Burbank, was killed in a horrific pedestrian crash on Verdugo Avenue.

According to Burbank Police Department, the fatal auto-pedestrian collision happened around 9 a.m. at the intersection of West Verdugo Avenue and North Buena Vista Street.

Reports say that a westbound Toyota Tundra turning left onto Buena Vista Street, struck the Charette as crossed the crosswalk south of Verdugo Avenue.

Authorities say that the driver stayed at the scene and did not show signs of impairment at the time of the crash.
