Injuries Reported in San Antonio Auto Accident on SW Military Drive near Yarrow Boulevard

SAN ANTONIO, TX (March 19, 2023) – Friday night, two people suffered injuries in a speeding crash on SW Military Drive near Yarrow Boulevard.

The incident happened just after 11:00 p.m. in the 2700 block of SW Military Drive near Yarrow Boulevard.

San Antonio police confirmed that the driver of a Dodge Challenger traveled at a high rate of speed on eastbound Military Drive. Afterward, they lost control and veered into the westbound lanes.

Then, the Challenger struck a Honda Civic as it stopped at a red light to turn left onto Yarrow Boulevard.

Meanwhile, the Challenger hit the driver’s side of the Civic, trapping the driver inside. After the crash, the Civic was pushed into a Volkswagen that was stopped behind it.

Moreover, firefighters extricated the driver of the Civic, a 27-year-old man. Then, responders transported him to University Hospital in critical condition.

Meanwhile, a passenger in the Challenger went to Texas Vista Medical Center with minor injuries.

Officers confirmed that prior to the crash, the driver of the Challenger was involved in a hit-and-run crash.

Moreover, officers charged the driver with failure to stop and give information and reckless driving.
