Andrew Asuncion Arrested after Crash on Sierra and Clubhouse Drive in Fontana

Fontana, CA (January 3, 2024) – On Tuesday, 19-year-old Andrew Asuncion was arrested after a crash on Sierra and Clubhouse Drive.

The Fontana Police Department arrested a suspect after he crashed his vehicle at the end of a dangerous pursuit in Fontana on Jan. 2. 

Around 10:50 a.m., an officer tried to pull over an erratically driving vehicle near the intersection of Sierra Avenue and the Interstate 15 Freeway.

 The driver of the suspect vehicle, a 2015 black BMW, refused to stop and led the police on a southbound chase on Sierra. 

A Public Information Officer reported that during the pursuit, the driver allegedly attempted to ram a police car.

The chase ended when the BMW collided with another car and then a tree at the intersection of Sierra and Clubhouse Drive. 

Officers apprehended the driver, 19-year-old Andrew Asuncion, at the scene and took him into custody. 

After receiving medical attention at a nearby hospital, authorities transported Asuncion to West Valley Detention Center. 

The occupants of the other vehicle sustained minor injuries.
