Gilbert, AZ (April 26, 2024) – On Thursday evening, a woman died in a crash on Queen Creek Road and Val Vista Drive.
Reportedly, a car struck a woman in Gilbert on Thursday evening, leading to her death.
Gilbert police reported that they received a call about the collision at the intersection of Queen Creek Road and Val Vista Drive around 7:45 p.m.
Emergency responders rushed the 45-year-old woman to the hospital in critical condition, where she later succumbed to her injuries.
It remains unclear whether the driver who hit the woman remained at the scene.
Authorities closed the intersection throughout the night, and it reopened on Friday morning around 1 a.m.
Gilbert police are investigating to determine the causes of the crash.
