Terrifying Crash on Phelan Road Killed 2 Young Girls [Phelan, CA]

2 Dead and 2 Injured after Rear-End Crash on Phelan Road and Nevada Road

Phelan, CA (January 26, 2024) – On Friday afternoon, 2 young girls died, and 2 others sustained injuries in a rear-end crash on Phelan Road.

This collision took place at 1:35 PM at the intersection of Phelan Road and Nevada Road in Phelan, an unincorporated community in San Bernardino County, on January 26, 2024.

Officers from the California Highway Patrol and the San Bernardino County Fire Department’s emergency personnel responded to the scene. They found two significantly damaged vehicles: a white Ecoline Ford Van and a white Toyota Camry. 

Despite life-saving attempts, the two young girls, who were in the backseat of the car, were pronounced dead at the scene.

The Toyota’s adult driver and a passenger sustained injuries of unknown severity and received transport to a hospital. 

The van’s driver, however, did not sustain injuries. 

Preliminary reports indicate that the Toyota was heading westbound on Phelan Road and was slowing to turn left onto Nevada Road when the white Ecoline Ford Van unexpectedly rear-ended it.

The California Highway Patrol’s Victorville Station is investigating the crash. 

Officers have confirmed that drugs or alcohol are not suspected as factors in the incident. The identities of the young girls are yet to be disclosed.
