Woman Dies After Crash on Northwest Green Oaks Boulevard in Arlington

Arlington, TX (July 5, 2024) – On Friday, a 36-year-old woman died, and a child sustained injuries in a crash on Northwest Green Oaks Boulevard.

Officers responded to the 2200 block of Northwest Green Oaks Boulevard after receiving a report of a car striking a concrete structure head-on. 

Upon arrival, they found that the woman had been driving a Jeep Cherokee southbound in the inside lane when it veered right across all lanes and left the road.

The vehicle struck a guide wire for an electrical pole before colliding head-on with a concrete structure. 

The driver was pronounced dead at the scene, while a 4-year-old passenger was taken to Cook Children’s Hospital for evaluation.

Currently, police do not know what caused the car to veer off the roadway.
