Terrible Crash on North State Street Left 2 People Injured [Ukiah, CA]

Driver and Passenger Hospitalized after Crash on North State Street in Ukiah

Ukiah, CA (January 18, 2024) – On Thursday night, two people sustained serious injuries in a crash on North State Street.

Traffic reports over the scanner revealed that just after 9 p.m., Ukiah Police initiated a pursuit of a Chevy Tahoe. 

The officer cited a failure to yield after the Tahoe pulled out of a parking lot and nearly collided with the officer’s vehicle. 

Shortly after, the Tahoe collided with a white Audi on North State Street, right in front of Thurston Honda.

The Tahoe overturned, and authorities took its occupant into custody, as the Incident Commander reported over the scanner.

Emergency responders had to extricate the passenger and potentially the driver from the Audi. 

A REACH helicopter subsequently airlifted the passenger from the scene, while an ambulance transported the driver to a local hospital.
