Juvenile Critical after Fiery Crash on Marginal Way Southwest in Seattle
Seattle, TX (December 29, 2023) – On Friday evening, a juvenile sustained critical injuries in a fiery crash on Marginal Way Southwest.
Reportedly, a juvenile allegedly stole a car at gunpoint, leading to an injury and subsequent arrest after crashing into a semi-truck.
The King County Sheriff’s Office reported that two suspects took the vehicle from its owner in Burien around 4:45 p.m. The 21-year-old male driver left the vehicle and attempted to flee on foot but was captured shortly afterward.
The juvenile male passenger then assumed the driver’s seat and fled at a high speed.
The juvenile suspect collided with a semi-truck on Marginal Way Southwest and 2nd Avenue Southwest around 6:40 p.m.
According to the Seattle Fire Department, the suspect was critically injured and transported to Harborview Medical Center, with witnesses noting that the stolen vehicle caught fire with the juvenile inside.
The 53-year-old male driver of the semi-truck received treatment at the scene for minor injuries.
The King County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the theft and subsequent crash.
