Chula Vista, CA (December 30, 2023) – On Saturday morning, a passenger died, and a driver sustained critical injuries in a crash on Interstate 805.

Reportedly, an SUV flew off a bridge on southbound Interstate 805 in Chula Vista, resulting in the death of a passenger and causing the driver to sustain major injuries. 

According to OnScene.TV, shortly before 10:30 a.m., the male driver lost control of the vehicle for unknown reasons.

 The SUV went through the metal rails of Naples Street over-crossing on I-805 and landed on its side approximately 30 feet below.

Emergency crews arrived and extricated the male driver, while the female passenger was declared dead at the scene.
