Houston, TX (June 2, 2023) – Early Friday morning, two people sustained injuries in a crash on Interstate 45 North Freeway.

The crash on Interstate 45 North Freeway happened at 4:53 a.m. on June 2.

According to Houston fire officials, a large U-Haul truck slammed into the back of a tanker truck.

A man, a woman, and their cat were in the U-Haul at the time of the crash.

The Houston Fire Department reportedly needed an hour to get the male driver from the car. He was brought to a nearby hospital with the woman, where they were both okay.

Investigators believe the tanker was slow-moving or broken down when the U-Haul slammed into the back end.
