Man Killed after Crash on Interstate 30 in Dallas

Dallas, TX (January 10, 2024) – On Wednesday morning, a man died in a crash on Interstate 30.

The accident occurred around 2:30 a.m. on I-30 at Cesar Chavez Boulevard, as stated in a news release from the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office.

 An older man, falling from Cesar Chavez, which crosses over I-30, landed on the highway and a vehicle struck him. 

The driver involved in the incident remained at the scene, awaiting the arrival of deputies. 

To facilitate the crash investigation, officials closed westbound I-30 and rerouted traffic to I-45. 

They reopened the highway shortly before 6 a.m. Authorities have not yet released the victim’s name and are not pressing charges against the vehicle’s driver.
