Male Pedestrian Killed after Crash on Interstate 20 in Arlington

Arlington, TX (January 18, 2024) – On Wednesday evening, a male pedestrian died in a crash on Interstate 20.

Reportedly, multiple vehicles struck the individual, with the incident first reported to police around 8:49 p.m. in the westbound lanes near Bowen Road.

Responding officers encountered a woman, the 2009 Lexus RX 350 driver, who reported hitting an unforeseen object, which she suspected might be a person. 

Nearby, police discovered human remains and deduced that following the initial impact, other vehicles subsequently hit the presumed male pedestrian, whose identity remains unknown at this time.

The Lexus driver immediately pulled over, alerted authorities by calling 911, and fully cooperated with the investigation.

Currently, she faces no charges related to the incident, as police believe she and the other drivers could not have spotted the pedestrian in time to prevent the collision.

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office is actively involved in efforts to identify the deceased pedestrian.
