Authorities have reopened the northbound I-17 near 19th Avenue following a deadly crash early Thursday morning. 

Arizona Department of Public Safety officials report that a pedestrian-involved crash happened in the northbound lanes overnight. 

The Department of Public Safety has confirmed the crash’s deadly nature but has not provided additional details regarding the cause or the individuals involved. 

After a period of closure, the northbound lanes reopened around 5:30 a.m.
