Cajon Pass, CA (December 30, 2023) – On Saturday, police responded to a reported crash on Interstate 15.
The California Highway Patrol reported that a crash occurred shortly after 5:30 am on southbound Interstate 15, just after the Cleghorn Road exit.
The San Bernardino County Fire and EMS Department responded to the scene and called for assistance. Two lanes of the freeway reopened at 7:30 am, several hours after the incident.
The closure was necessary due to the dump truck and trailer, being disabled in the lanes, resulting in heavy debris scattered across all traffic lanes.
According to the CHP Traffic Log, the crash involved a dump truck pulling a trailer and two cars of unknown make or models.
The southbound lanes remained closed for several hours due to the crash and cleanup efforts, with all lanes reopening around 8:30 am.
