Hesperia, CA (March 30, 2024) – Early Saturday morning, two patrol officers sustained injuries in a crash on Interstate 15.

The California Highway Patrol is actively investigating an early Saturday morning crash that involved two of their officers and another driver. 

This collision happened just before 5:30 a.m. on March 30, 2024, in the northbound lanes of the I-15 freeway, under adverse weather conditions. 

While the patrol officers were attending to a car that had spun out due to the rain, a white 2022 Toyota Camry collided with their stationary cruiser. 

The crash left both officers with minor injuries, necessitating transport to the hospital by ground ambulances. 

The driver of the Toyota Camry, suspected of driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol, was arrested at the scene. 

This driver also sustained injuries but is expected to make a full recovery after hospitalization.

Following the incident, authorities temporarily closed the northbound traffic on the I-15 to facilitate emergency response, causing significant traffic delays that stretched back to Main Street.
