1 Person Killed and 1 Injured after 2-Vehicle Crash on Highway 2 in Wrightwood

Wrightwood, CA (January 19, 2024) – On Friday morning, one person died, and one other sustained injuries in a 2-vehicle crash on Highway 2.

The incident took place around 10:45 am on Friday, January 19, 2024, at the junction of Highway 2 and Scrub Oak Drive, involving a silver Honda Civic sedan and a silver Ford F-150 pickup truck.

Responders from the California Highway Patrol and the San Bernardino County Fire Department arrived at the scene of the collision. 

They declared one person dead at the scene and transported another to a local hospital with injuries of undisclosed severity.

The cause of the collision remains unclear at this moment. Authorities closed the roadway for over four hours to investigate the collision.

Further information will be provided once the California Highway Patrol’s preliminary accident report becomes available. Currently, details are scarce.
