SANTA YNEZ, CA (March 7, 2023) – Sunday morning, a motorcyclist died in a crash on Foxen Canyon Road near Tepusquet Road.
 
The incident happened at around 9:50 a.m. at the 7600 block of Foxen Canyon, south of Tepusquet Road near Sisquoc.
 
According to reports, a Yahama R6 motorcycle veered across the double yellow lines. Then, it collided with a southbound Honda Accord. Afterward, the force of the crash ejected the motorcyclist into the roadway.
 
Moreover, responding paramedics pronounced the 18-year-old motorcyclist dead at the scene. Also, the Honda driver, 42-year-old Bobbie Dowdy, and her passenger were not hurt in the incident.
 
Furthermore, officers withheld the identity of the deceased, pending notification to the next of kin.
 
At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
