Police Search for Hit-And-Run Driver after Crash on E. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard in Austin

Austin, TX (June 9, 2023) – Sunday evening, one person sustained injuries in a hit-and-run crash on E. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.

The crash happened around 5:42 p.m. on June 4 at the intersection of E. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Harvey Street.

A preliminary investigation revealed that the driver of a pickup truck struck the driver of an SUV, forcing him onto the sidewalk. The impact caused the SUV driver to strike a residential fence and a telephone pole. However, the two people did not suffer life-threatening injuries.

More so, the driver of the pickup left the scene without attempting to render aid or call 9-1-1.

The suspect vehicle was described as a dark Dodge Ram pickup with black rims. There may also be some damage to the passenger side.
