Pedestrian Dies After Crash on Coors Boulevard in Albuquerque

Albuquerque, NM (August 8, 2024) – On Thursday, a pedestrian died in a crash on Coors Boulevard.

The Albuquerque Police Department’s Fatal Crash Team is investigating an overnight incident where a vehicle hit a pedestrian on the West Side.

Just after midnight, APD officers responded to reports of a crash at the intersection of Coors Blvd and Irving Blvd NW.

Preliminary findings suggest that the driver of a black Mercedes was traveling northbound on Coors Blvd at Irving Blvd NW when the pedestrian attempted to cross Coors. 

The Mercedes struck the pedestrian, who was pronounced dead at the scene. The pedestrian’s identity has not yet been determined. 

The driver remained at the scene.
