Police Investigate Crash on Andrews Highway in Big Spring
Big Spring, TX (March 9, 2023) – Wednesday afternoon, police responded to a minor-injury crash on Andrews Highway.
The crash on Andrews Highway in Big Spring happened on March 8.
Police said a driver trucker was driving on the Andrews Highway (TX-176) eastbound towards Big Spring when his dashboard-mounted camera caught the collision.
Reportedly, a white Ram 2500 was passing two truck tractors towing semi-trailers with a Jeep between them. When the white pickup was at a high rate of speed in the oncoming lane conducting the passing maneuver, the lead semi turned left onto another road.
With the jeep beside the Ram and the truck cutting off the oncoming lane, the Ram driver had nowhere to go but to smash into the lead semi-trailer.
There were no major injuries after the crash.
Further investigation into this crash is ongoing.
