10 People Hospitalized after Crash on 19th Avenue in Phoenix

Phoenix, AZ (December 15, 2023) – Friday afternoon, ten people sustained injuries in a crash on 19th Avenue.

Police and firefighters attended to the collision involving a van and car around 4 p.m. at the intersection of 19th Avenue and Pima Street, between Buckeye Road and Interstate 17. 

Phoenix Police reported that four teenagers inside the car were taken to the hospital with serious injuries, while two adults, three teens, and a child in the van were also hospitalized with minor injuries.

Phoenix police have stated that the driver of the van displayed no signs of intoxication. However, they have not determined whether the driver of the car was under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
