Highway 86 Fiery Crash Involving Jose Flores and Elicio Moreno Kills 2 [Brawley, CA]

2 Dead in Brawley Auto Accident on Highway 86 and Highway 78

BRAWLEY, CA (April 6, 2023) – Monday afternoon, a Highway 86 fiery crash involving Jose Flores and Elicio Moreno killed 2.

The fatal incident happened on northbound Highway 86, just north of Highway 78.

The California Highway Patrol revealed that 60-year-old Elicio Moreno from El Centro drove a 2023 Peterbilt driven.

He traveled on Highway 86 just north of Highway 78.

Then, the CHP said that an unidentified vehicle traveled behind the big rig. However, 58-year-old Jose Flores from Fresno driving another truck rear-ended the unidentified vehicle forcing it into Moreno’s trailer.

Meanwhile, the vehicle caught in the middle caught fire, killing the vehicle’s driver and a passenger.

The Imperial County Coroner’s Office helps in the investigation.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.

Due to the limited information available, the authorities continued to investigate the crash.
