2 People Dead after Crash in Lower Valley in El Paso

El Paso, TX (November 20, 2023) – On Monday night, two people died, and two others sustained injuries in a crash in Lower Valley.

The Texas Department of Public Safety reported that the crash originated as a pursuit from Mesa to North Loop. 

According to officials, a trooper attempted to pull over a 2017 Maroon Kia for a traffic violation, initiating a pursuit when the car evaded the stop.

DPS said, “This was a pursuit involving a DPS trooper. The trooper did lose visual for a brief time frame, and that’s when the vehicle actually crashed.”

When the crash occurred, there were a total of six people in the car. Two individuals were transported to the hospital—one with serious injuries and another with minor injuries. 

The call to the El Paso Fire Department was received at 8:43 p.m.
