One Injury in Failed Kidnapping and Carjacking
Federal Way, WA (May 23, 2020)– On Friday afternoon, a car crash occurred resulting from two suspects kidnapping and carjacking.
According to reports, the victims consisted of a couple who agreed to sell their car to another couple they had met on Craigslist.
When the involved parties met, the couple posing as buyers drew guns and took the car, with a female victim in the backseat.
Once authorities were called, a chase ensued that culminated in the crash.
Apparently, the couple drove the car away with the female victim still inside the car. Soon after, they left her on the side of the road.
Subsequently, the carjackers drove the car to the intersection of 21st Avenue South and SW Campus Drive, where they hit another car. Police arrested the female suspect at the scene, and the male suspect fled on foot.
Quickly, the male suspect was apprehended by the police.
At this time, the extent of the injuries of the victims involved in the accident is unknown.
