Car Crashes into Emergency Room of St David’s North Austin Medical Center

AUSTIN, TX (February 14, 2024) – Tuesday night, a devastating car crash at St David’s North Austin Medical Center killed 1 person.

The incident occurred at about 5:38 p.m. when a car crashed into the emergency room of St David’s North Austin Medical Center.

As a result, the driver was declared dead at the scene while five others sustained injuries.

Meanwhile, responders took two children and one adult to Dell Children’s, and another adult was transported to Round Rock Medical Center.

Moreover, a St. David’s staff member revealed that eight other people were taken to a different hospital. Those patients were not injured in the crash and were at the hospital for other medical needs.

Also, officers confirmed that the incident was no threat to the public and it wasn’t intentional.

At this time, the events that led up to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
