Craig Richardt Killed in Tragic Head-On Collision on I-90 [Sprague, WA]

Sprague, WA (September 29, 2024) On Saturday morning, 61-year-old Craig Richardt of Spokane Valley died after a head-on collision along I-90.

According to the Washington State Patrol (WSP), the fatal crash happened around 4:45 a.m. on westbound Internet 90.

Reports say that a wrong-way driver caused a fatal head-on collision on I-90 early Saturday morning.

Officials say that a vehicle traveling in the wrong direction crashed into Richardt’s car in the left lane. Richardt died on the scene as a result of the collision.

Emergency responders transported the wrong-way driver to East Adams Rural Hospital for treatment. Another car was hit by debris from the crash, but its occupant was not injured.

Authorities are investigating the circumstances that led to the driver traveling the wrong way.
