Morning Head-On Collision in Cottonwood Injures 5
COTTONWOOD, CA (April 7, 2019) – Two children were airlifted following a head-on crash Sunday morning in Cottonwood.
The crash happened around 10:55 a.m. near the intersection of Bowman Road and Hooker Creek Road.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a gray Toyota Corolla and a black Chevrolet Malibu collided head-on, one of them hit a telephone pole.
Two children in one of the cars were flown to Mercy Medical Center in unknown conditions. Three adults were taken by ground ambulance to a hospital with minor to moderate injuries.
Both vehicles sustained major front-end damage and were towed away from the crash site.
Details surrounding the collision were not made clear in the reports and media releases. The incident is under investigation by the California Highway Patrol.
