Man Fatally Injured in Motorcycle-Car Crash on Easter Day
COSTA MESA, CA (April, 1, 2018) – A fatal motorcycle accident took place on the 73 Toll Road, on Sunday evening around 5:36 PM.
The California Highway Patrol reported that the crash occurred on the highway where the 73 and the northbound 405 Freeway meet.
Officials stated that the motorcyclist attempted to go between a Honda Civic and Ferrari in front of him, when he hit the back of the Honda. The man flew from his motorcycle and onto the road.
Emergency personnel arrived at the scene to find the man critically injured. He succumbed to his injuries and was later pronounced dead. The victim’s identity has not yet been released, pending notification of his family.
Two lanes on the transition road between the northbound 73 Toll Road and 405 Freeway were closed during the investigation. Police officials continue to search for the cause of the fatal collision. No other information has been disclosed at this time.
