Fatal 7-Vehicle Collision on 91 Freeway in Corona
CORONA, CA (April 18, 2019) – One person was killed following a multi-vehicle collision early Thursday morning in Corona.
The fatal crash happened around 12:40 a.m. on eastbound 91 Freeway, a mile West of 15 Freeway.
At least seven vehicles, including a silver 2009 Ford Focus, were involved, CHP officials said.
While the cause of the crash has not yet been determined, one of the vehicles was leaking a lot a fluid and a male occupant was found lying in lanes.
Arriving paramedics took the patient to Riverside Community Hospital with major injuries. Despite life-saving measures, the victim did not survive and was declared dead.
The crash raised a SigAlert in the area, blocking all freeway lanes while the evidence from the scene was collected.
No identifying information is being released at this time. Further investigation is underway.
