Constantine Tsavalas Killed in Yountville Fatal Car Crash, Mauricio Aguilar Arrested
Yountville, CA (October 20, 2020) – On Saturday, 87-year-old Constantine Tsavalas of Yountville died in a DUI car crash on Highway 29, and police arrested Mauricio Aguilar.
Moreover, the fatal accident took place at around 3 p.m. on Hoffman Lane in Yountville.
Tsavalas driving his 1998 Nissan Pathfinder attempted to turn across the southbound lanes.
At the same time, a southbound 2000 Dodge Dakota, driven by 36-year-old Mauricio Aguilar of Napa, struck the Nissan vehicle in the intersection.
Furthermore, police said Aguilar was traveling at “an elevated rate of speed.”
Immediately, the rescuers took both men to Queen of the Valley hospital, where Tsavalas died.
As a result, authorities arrested Aguilar on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol (DUI).
