Driver Shot, Dies in Crash on Highway 4 in Concord
CONCORD, CA (March 16, 2019) – An Antioch woman was killed following an alleged shooting crash Saturday afternoon in Concord.
The crash was reported at 2:24 p.m. on eastbound Highway 4 at Port Chicago Highway off-ramp.
According to reports, a silver Honda Accord veered off the roadway and crashed into the guardrail. It then crossed all eastbound lanes onto the Willow Pass Road off-ramp from eastbound Highway 4.
The Contra Costa County Firefighters and CHP responded to the scene and found the female driver with fatal injuries. The unidentified victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
A SigAlert was issued between Port Chicago Highway and Willow Pass Road. The fourth lane of the highway was closed for the investigation as well as the Willow Pass Road off-ramp.
While units were investigating the scene, bullet holes were located on the driver side door.
