1 Driver Injured in Two-Vehicle Collision on Kern River Canyon Road
Bakersfield, Ca (May 29, 2020)– The California Highway Patrol rushed to Kern River Canyon Road where a collision was reported on Wednesday.
On May 27, at about 8:15 a.m., two vehicles collided that resulted in the injuries of one driver involved.
CHP Public Information Officer Robert Rodriguez said that the impact of the collision made one vehicle go down into the ravine. However, the vehicle was able to stop before it hits the water.
The other vehicle involved blocked the roadway but it was immediately removed, said the police.
By 9:30 a.m., Highway 178 lanes near Kern River Canyon reopened again for the traffic.
It is still unclear what events led up to the collision of the two vehicles. In addition, the identities of the involved parties remain unreleased.
