24-Year-Old San Pedro Bicyclist Struck and Killed by Two Vehicles in Hit-and-Run Crash
LONG BEACH, CA (March 3, 2018) – A man was struck and killed by two vehicles while riding his bike on the Terminal Island Freeway at Pier A Way, on early Saturday morning.
Police officials found a bicyclist in lane 2 of the northbound highway around 3 AM on Saturday. Medical resuscitation was attempted, but the man was pronounced dead on the scene. The victim was identified by the Coroner’s Office on Friday as 24-year-old Cole Micek of San Pedro.
Authorities have released images of two cars they believe to be involved in the fatal hit-and-run accident. The first vehicle is a white Toyota Camry believed to be a 2015-2017 model, and the second vehicle is a late 90’s Honda Accord with a distinctive dark hood and sunroof.
