Speeding SUV Rear-Ends Truck on Highway 101 in Menlo Park Killing the Driver
MENLO PARK, CA (September 4, 2019) – A man was killed following a rear-end crash early Wednesday morning on southbound Highway 101 in Menlo Park, authorities said.
The crash happened around 1:25 a.m. near Marsh Road off-ramp.
According to the CHP, a Honda SUV was traveling southbound at a high rate of speed when it rear-ended a flatbed truck. The SUV then overturned and went about 15 feet embankment.
As a result, the SUV driver died at the scene. The San Mateo County Coroner’s Office identified him as Cody Winton, 27, of Sunnyvale.
