Daniel Blakley Arrested after Sherman Motorcycle Accident on Loy Lake Road

SHERMAN, TX (July 17, 2023) – Friday, a crippling motorcycle crash on Loy Lake Road injured Cody Kuntz.

The incident between a car and a motorcycle happened in the 1800 block of Loy Lake Road.

According to reports, a disturbance that caused a road rage incident between 33-year-old Kuntz and 26-year-old Daniel Blakley occurred.

As Kuntz fled from the confrontation on his motorcycle, Blakley pursued him down in his car.

Then, Blakley hit the motorcycle until both vehicles crashed into the back of a building.

Afterward, Kuntz was pinned under Blakley’s vehicle.

When first responders arrived, they freed Kuntz and airlifted him to Medical City in Plano where he underwent surgery.

As of Friday, Kuntz remained in critical condition.

Meanwhile, the authorities obtained an arrest warrant for Blakley, charging him with aggravated assault causing serious bodily injury.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
