Cody Collins of Tyler Killed in Highway 31 Pedestrian Accident [Smith County, TX]

Smith County, TX (June 7, 2023) – On Tuesday morning, 34-year-old Cody Collins of Tyler lost his life following a Highway 31 pedestrian accident.

The Texas Department of Public Safety said Collins was walking in the westbound lane of the freeway when he was hit by a 2021 Freightliner box truck driven by Kenneth Garland, 55, of Longview.

Sadly, Collins succumbed to his crash injuries at the scene
