COALINGA, CA – 2 Killed in Rollover Crash on 5 Freeway at El Dorado Avenue

SUV Overturns on 5 Freeway in Coalinga Killing Two People

 
COALINGA, CA (May 12, 2019) – Two people were killed following a rollover crash Sunday morning in Coalinga.
 
The fatal crash happened around 9:40 a.m. on 5 Freeway, just South of El Dorado Avenue.
 
According to the CHP, a red Ford Explorer carrying two people was traveling southbound on the freeway when it overturned.
 
First responders attempted life-saving measures, but the two victims were pronounced dead at the scene. Their identities were not immediately available.
 
It is unknown if speed, drugs and/or alcohol were contributing factors in the crash. Further investigation is underway.
